The third annual conference of Epidemiology Foundation of India (EFICON 2022) was held at All India
Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna on November 4 and 5. In this national conference PG student
from Department of Community Medicine, Kalinga Institute of medical Sciences (KIMS) Bhubaneswar, Dr
Ansuman Kar, bagged the second prize in national poster presentation competition in the category of
Maternal and Child Health.

Kar’s study titled “Knowledge practice gap for breastfeeding and the factors influencing it among the
urban mothers attending the Immunization clinic under a tertiary-care hospital, Bhubaneswar’’ was
guide by Prof. Dr Sonali Kar and Dr Snigdha Singh. The poster was well appreciated by delegates and
judges who attended the national conference.
