Job Specifications/Responsibilities:
1. Performing laboratory experiments required for the project, such as sputum sample processing, Microscopy, M.tb culture and sample storage.
2. The above activity needs to be done at NIRT and respective collection site of the study.
3. Data collection and data entry.
4. Writing SOPs, technical reports for the project.
5. Co-ordinating sample receipt and reporting of results.
6. Performing any other study related activities delegated by the Principal Investigator/Co-Investigator.

Job Specifications/Responsibilities:1. Will be responsible for all field related activities that include screening and enrolment of study participants, taking consent, interviewing study participants, facilitating the required investigations, data collection and data entry.
2. Ensuring retention of study participants by doing home visit/ phone calls.
3. Counseling the participants regarding the study procedures.
Performing any other study related activities delegated by Study Co-ordinator/ Principal Investigator.
4. Good communication skills and community interactions would be highly desirable
5. May have to travel to Tuberculosis units within Koraput district.

4. Project Technician I (Health Assistant) 2 16000/- Essential Qualification:
BSc Graduate/ Diploma in Medical Laboratory/ MSW/ DMLT

Desirable Qualification:
– Prior experience in Research Project and Field surveys.
– Prior experience in TB program.

Job Specifications/Responsibilities:
Health Assistant will be responsible for carrying out activities related to lab, x-ray, data entry and other field related activities. He/She will also do activities like collection of samples, processing and other investigation.

5. Medical Doctor (for camps) 1 50,000/- Essential Qualification:
AYUSH/Veterinary (Retired personnel are encouraged to apply)
Or
Fresh MBBS pass outs with MRC registration are also encouraged to work

Desirable Qualification:
Knowledge of TB, Ability to interpret X-rays.

  1. Short listing of candidates for interview will be done on the basis of the information regarding educational qualification and experience.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. Preferable applicants currently residing in Koraput and must be having their own vehicles for field activities. Project will not bear any transportation charges or fuel cost.
  2. Late/delayed/incomplete/unsigned or application without latest photograph will not be considered and will be summarily rejected without any correspondence. Hence candidates are advised to apply will before time without waiting of the last date.
  3. PI/ICMR will not be responsible, if candidate fails to submit application within prescribed date for whatever reason.
  4. Submission of incorrect or false information during the process of interview/or Personal discussion shall disqualify the candidature at any stage.
  5. Engagement of the above project positions will be depending upon availability of funds, functional requirement and approval of the Competent Authority. Therefore, it is not committed to fill up all the advertised positions and the process is liable to withdraw/cancelled/modified at any time.
  6. The rates of emoluments/stipends shown in this advertisement are project specific and may vary according to sanction of the funding agency of the project.
  7. All post(s) are purely temporary and contractual for the duration offered in the adhoc project. The appointment may be renewed after every specific period of time subject to satisfactory performance and project requirement.
  8. Contractual Appointment can be terminated at any time during the engagement from either side with notice period of one month without assigning any reason thereof.
  9. Qualification and experience should be in relevant discipline/field and from a reputed Institution /organization recognized by relevant authority. Decision will be of PI for considering the qualification during interview.
  10. Experience shall be counted from the date of completion of minimum essential educational qualification.
  11. No benefit of provident fund, Leave Travel Concession, Medical Claim etc. will be considered, since the posts are purely temporary basis.
  12. Age limit and experience will be considered as on last date of submission of application.
  13. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview/personal discussion/written test.
  14. Mere fulfilling the essential qualification / experience does not guarantee for short listing/selection.
  15. Candidates already working against regular/permanent posts under government Department/organizations are not eligible to apply.
  16. The selected candidate will be posted at Koraput District (Block- Kunduli, Borrigumma, Jeypore), Odisha. However the candidate may be posted at other locations as per the requirement of the project. No accommodation or HRA shall be provided to the selected candidates.
  17. Candidates already employed should submit a “No Objection Certificate” from their employer at the time of walk-in- interview/written test / personal discussion failing which he/she will not be allowed to appear in written/personal discussion.
  18. The above posts are filled-up on purely temporary basis and contractual basis & the Candidate will have no right to claim on a regular post in ICMR or in any institutes/Center or any department of GOI and their project term with break or without break in any or multiple projects will no confer any right for further assignment or transfer or continuation to any other project or appointment/absorption/regularization of service in funding agency or in ICMR.
  19. The Principal Investigator reserves the right to increase / decrease the number of vacancies as per requirement.
  20. The Principal Investigator has the right to accept/reject any application or to cancel advertisement without assigning any reason thereof and no correspondence/ recommendation will be entertained in this matter.
  21. Canvassing and bringing inside or outside influence in any form for short listing and Employment will be treated as a disqualification and the candidate will be debarred from selection process.
  22. No request for change of Date of Interview shall be entertained.
  23. Leave shall be applicable as per PI discretion.
