Overview

The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging has come a long way since its establishment in September, 2004, when it started with a single portable X-ray unit and two fixed X-ray machines at KIMS. Today the Department provides top quality radio diagnostics services at affordable prices for the population constituting all economic strata. The faculty have published 90 research articles in national and international journals and also authored two text books on Radiology and Medical Imaging.

The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging has created a name for itself with quality and quantity since its establishment in September, 2004, when it started with a single portable X-ray unit and two fixed X-ray machines. Today the Department provides top quality radio diagnostics services at affordable prices for the population constituting all economic strata of Odisha and the region. The department offers services of Fluoroscopy, Full room digital radiography, Dexa scan, Ultrasound including antenatal and anomaly scans, Colour doppler mammography, CT scan, MRI, Ultrasound and CT scan guided biopsies, Percutaneous abscess drainage and imaging and Interventional radiology procedures.

Services  Provided

  • The Department of Radiology and Medical Imaging aims to provide timely, cost-efficient, and high-quality Medical Imaging and image-guided therapy services for a diverse patient population. It will also play a major role in the education of patients, trainees, healthcare providers, healthcare administrators, legislators, emphasizing the fact that medical imaging helps improve the outcome and advancing the care of the patients.
  • The Department provides compassionate, caring, and high-quality medical imaging and image-guided therapy services and simultaneously educating referring physicians, Post-graduate and under graduate medical students, allied health professionals, hospital administrators, legislators.

Research/Publications/Awards

The faculty have published 90 research articles in national and international journals and also authored two text books on Radiology and Medical Imaging.
