About KIMS Cancer Centre

Overview

The KIMS Cancer Centre (KCC) was commissioned in 2022 by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The ultra-modern state-of-the-art facility was developed under the visionary leadership of KIIT-KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta. KCC is a comprehensive cancer care hospital, spread over seven floors. It is equipped with advanced technologies and run by a competent medical team.

KCC is committed to providing the best treatment to patients with care and compassion. It has, in a short span, established itself as a foremost centre for patients not only in Odisha but also for those coming from neighbouring states.

The clinical services provided are:

Services  Provided

  • The specialties and units to provide comprehensive cancer management to the patients comprise: Surgical Oncology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative Care, Nuclear Medicine, Pathology, Radio-diagnosis (Cancer Imaging), Clinical Haematology, Physiotherapy, Diet and Nutrition, Pharmacy, Patient Coordination, Quality and Hospital Management. There is active support from other bio-medical specialties from KIMS

Research/Publications/Awards

The research done include Clinical Audit of Tumor Board, Basic cancer research on cancers of breast, oral cavity and stomach. Till present, multi-disciplinary Tumor Board Committee (TBC of KCC) from August 2020 to May 2022 has registered and conjointly taken decision on 1,534 cancer patients. The total publication from the KCC Faculty members stand at 449 papers.
