Overview
The Department of Anaesthesiology at KIMS acts as Team Leader, managing all pre-surgical procedures.
It involves preoperative evaluation, pre-anaesthetic check-up; intraoperatively managing all types of surgery and post-operative follow-ups for the first 24 hours and thereafter, as and when required.
The Department provides critical and palliative care and develops an environment of caring with enhanced focus on quality, patient safety, performance improvement, professionalism and compassion.
While the Department organises Comprehensive Pain and Musculoskeletal ultrasound Hands on workshop periodically, the faculty has so far made 153 research publications in various national and international journals.
The Department of Anaesthesiology aims to become the premier wing of KIMS Bhubaneswar with the state-of-art pre-operative care and crucial emphasis on aspects, all of which is handled through a humane approach.
- To provide state-of-the-art patient care in the areas of perioperative anaesthesia, critical care and pain management.
